What is translation?
Translation is the process of changing the text from one language to another whilst conveying the same meaning as demonstrated in the source text.
How to choose a translator?

a. Check their qualifications - and/or request information about their experience. Translators should only accept assignments for which they are competent and as a client, you should expect nothing less.

b. Are they NAATI accredited? - This is extremely necessary, especially for government authorities and the like. See next FAQ.

c. Check their rates? - Are they comparable with other translators and do they suit your budget?

Why should I have my documents translated professionally?

Professional translation differs greatly from machine translation (i.e. Google Translate, Babylon, etc). Here at Tra.D.A., every translation is performed by a native in the language to which the document is being translated. This ensures that the translation reads naturally and not like a translation.

All translators at Tra.D.A. are accredited through NAATI (National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters) - the industry's governing body within Australia. Any document needing to be submitted to government or subordinate authorities are required to have certification from a NAATI accredited translator. Working with a professional translator is a way to mitigate the risk that can be associated with doing business in a language unfamiliar to you.

 

How long does it take to translate a document?
This is a very difficult question to answer as it is completely dependent on the field and complexity of the translation. Generally speaking, personal documents can be translated within 2-3 business days. We always work with our clients to ensure that we can meet business deadlines.
